Doug Fitzgerald
Creighton was an important mentor in my life. His teachings and advice have guided me from the first day I met him. It was that very first day in class that he gave me the nickname “Little Dutch Boy”. Neither of us ever forgot that name, although he pretended that he did when I presented him an alumni award a couple years ago. He had me going, but that was his sense of humor that I so appreciated. This summer when we went to the alumni reunion his insisted on stopping for ice cream on the way home. He made sure he had money before he left home as he already had the stop planned. It was the best ice cream cone I ever had. Creighton will live forever in my mind. My sincere condolences to his family.
