Condolence: There are no words to describe the depth of my gratitude for the blessing of uncle Jerry in my life. He was an accomplished extraordinary man and yet he was humble, thoughtful, kind and so generous. The greatest expression of his generosity was in sharing the wisdom of his business and life experience so that anyone who was interested could learn and grow. He was the epitome of the Sage, the Wise One every generation needs. My aunt Carol and uncle Jerry's love for the Adirondacks and their loving support of me in some of the most challenging times in my life allowed me the opportunity to heal, grow and thrived in countless ways. I would not be the woman I am today without that unconditional love they extended to me. My life is so blessed by knowing, loving and spending special moments with them on Lake Simond.
One of the things I most loved was his sense of humor. He always wanted me to try one of those dirty martini's he'd enjoy at 6pm and he'd laugh when I told him I was afraid to try it...so for you my dear uncle one of these days at 6pm I promise to try one...and I'll toast you in Heaven. I love you and miss you...and thank you for being a wonderful man, uncle and friend.

Condolence: So wonderful to learn about Mr. Haddad's life and accomplishments! I knew him and his wife when I was growing up, up the street from their Briarcliff Manor, New York home. My heart goes out to Mrs. Haddad, John, Suzie, and all the Haddad family.

Condolence: Jerry will be deeply missed by many for the fine person that he was and all that he did in his lifetime.

It was with profound sadness that I received the message that Jerry had passed away. When I said goodbye to him in August before I left New York, I realized that I might not see him again on this earth. I knew that he was receiving excellent care from his wife Carol and the many aides and his family loved him, but the future was tenuous.

Our families have known each other for longer than I can remember, both down state and in Tupper Lake. I remember Jerry and Carol attending the memorial service for my father in Pleasantville in 1999.

These past fifteen years I became much closer to Jerry and Carol. Jerry was a handsome polished gentleman, well-read and knowledgeable in so many areas. It was a pleasure to talk with him. Jerry was active in many organizations, including several dedicated to the protection, stewardship, and sustainability of the natural environment and human communities of the Adirondack Park.

As Jerry and I collaborated on projects, I came to appreciate his wisdom and admire his ability to clarify the issues. He was incisive and had a quick mind. His counsel was sought by many. I spent many days on the Tupper Lake porch, writing on my computer (with his electricity!) and collaborating with Jerry.

When I visit Carol in the Tupper lake home on Lake Simond that they shared, we will remember Jerry and appreciate his legacy that will endure.

In sympathy with his family and friends, Phyllis Boden Thompson

Condolence: My heartfelt condolences to Mary, Alex and siblings, family and so many, many warm and wonderful friends of this fine, true and completely unique gentleman.

I'm so enriched to have had met Jerry and gained his wise counsel on joint environmental protection work in the Adirondack Park and Tupper Lake region - a wild land and richly watered region of the Earth that he knew deeply and loved with all his heart and his true commitment, intellect and foresight.

While we grieve his loss, Jerry's life reminds us that as humans, our time relative to the stars is short in this life and we need to live wisely, love truly, share much, laugh fully and serve our families, communities and Mother Earth bravely.

I will miss the light in his face when he smiles; his wise counsel and guidance, but know with a warm heart, just how lucky I have been to know him and call him a friend.

Condolence: Jerry was a key part of my and my brother's lives both at Clarkson and then at IBM. We not only received scholarships named after his late wife but he would meet with us each year (he was a Clarkson trustee at the time) and facilitated introductions that helped us early in our careers when we went to work at IBM. It helped that we also had a common Lebanese heritage. He was a key part of IBM's history and may he rest in peace.

Condolence: I wish to pay tribute to the amazing life of Jerrier Haddad. Along with my brother Geoff, we were recipients of the Margaret Haddad Scholarship at Clarkson University. This scholarship was in memory of the late Mr. Haddad's wife.
As fate would have it, my brother and I would join IBM after Clarkson. Mr. Haddad was a retired executive of IBM and he expressed great satisfaction that the scholarship had helped to send new engineers to IBM.
Condolences to the entire family and heart felt thanks from this engineer to the generosity of Jerrier Haddad. Eternal Rest Grant Unto Him O Lord and let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him.

    Regards,
    Gregory Akiki
