    Obituary for Larry E. Keniston

    Larry E. Keniston
Larry E. Keniston passed away unexpectedly at Albany Medical Center on September 23, 2016 at the age of 81.
Larry is predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Ella (Boyer) Keniston, his sister Pat Keniston, and his son, Larry E. Keniston Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife Jeannette (Boudreau) of 57 years. They were married at Holy Name Church, in Tupper Lake, on September 5, 1959. Fr. Paul LaRocque performed the marriage.
Larry is lovingly remembered by his children, Therese Dukett, Jackie (Steve) Boushie, Chris (Mary) Keniston, Mike (Kathy) Keniston, Laurie (Thomas) Urh, Mary Ann (Matthew) Haywood, Tim Keniston, and his sister Mary Jo Daniels. He will also be missed by his 22 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was born in Tupper Lake, New York on November 25, 1934. He graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1952. He enlisted in the Army in 1955. He served 18 months in Korea and Fort Knox Kentucky before discharge. He began his career with the postal service in 1959, as one of the first postal carriers, and soon after became a clerk. He retired in 1990. In 1992 he took over a highway delivery route, and 12 years later he retired from that.
Larry enjoyed reading, biking, and travel. He and his wife traveled extensively, and he enjoyed that very much. Family celebrations and all his time with family meant the most to him. He was an outstanding role model, his family meant so much to him, and he provided for his family by working many jobs to care for them. His strong faith and hard work ethic was a great example to his children.
The visitation will be held at Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 24 Cliff Ave, Tupper Lake on Monday, September 26 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Prayers and funeral service will be at Holy Name Church, Tupper Lake on Tuesday, September 27 2016 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery.
