Wilbur J. Lamica, 95, passed away, Sunday August 5, 2018 at his home. Born July 4, 1923 in Tupper Lake, he was the son of Wilbur and Pearl (Farmer) Lamica. Wilbur was Valedictorian, HGA class of 1942. He was employed as a mechanic and later foreman at the O.W.D. Corp retiring in 1985. Wilbur was a communicant of St. Alphonsus church. He was the patriarch of the Lamica family, being always very generous and thoughtful to his siblings. He is survived by one brother Ronald and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers; Irvin and Arlen, three sisters; Joan Denis, Lois LaFountain and Joyce Savage. Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday, August 9 from 6 to 8 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 noon, Friday at St. Alphonsus church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
