Obituary for Leona McFaul (Ouillette)

Leona (Ouillette) McFaul, 73, of Tupper Lake, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at her home. Born in Tupper Lake on April 13, 1944, she was the daughter of Leon and Dorothy (Johnson) Ouillete. She attended Tupper Lake High School and resided in Tupper Lake all of her life. She worked for many years at Wood's Laundry, which later became Cornell's Dry cleaning. From there she was employed at Sunmount DDSO until her retirement. She loved camping and one of her main enjoyments was camping with her husband (and dog) in their camper trailer. Cole's creek campground had become one of their favorite places and they loved to watch the ships go through the locks nearby. The main love of her life though was the family and the time she spent with them. She often said how lucky she was that all of her children remained in Tupper Lake and that she could spend so much time with them and her grandchildren. She was also known for helping others and was very generous with her time and care of them. Leona is survived by her loving husband Lee McFaul, two daughters; Venetia (Dow) Trombley and her husband Gregory, Tricia Frach and her husband Henry, one son, Lee James McFaul and six grandchildren; Trevor Trombley and his wife Amber of Bakersfield, VT, Corey Trombley of Potsdam, Derick McFaul of Malone, Breanna Trombley of Tupper Lake, Braedon McFaul of Tupper Lake and Adyson McFaul of Lowville. In respect for Leona's wishes, there will be no wake or funeral, a celebration of her life get-together for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
