James Harold Morey, 72, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, on Upper Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks.
Born in Lockport, NY on December 23, 1944.
Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Helen Morey. Survived by his wife, Virginia Morey, children, Sarah Morey (Joe) Montemaro, James (Susan Powell) Morey, grandchildren, Joseph James, Caroline, and Collin Montemaro, sisters, Jean Morey (William) Conley and Carol Morey (Thomas) Foster, cousin Milton (Noreen) Farley, nieces and nephews, and dog, Parker.
Jim was a retiree of SUNY Institute of Technology Utica. During his career, he was also a hospital administrator, CPA, and consultant to many health care systems.
Jim was an avid lover of Harbor Freight Tools, Rodney Dangerfield and Chevy Chase Movies, and his Boston Red Sox. His legacy will live on in the cabin that he lovingly restored over his 39 years of ownership.
James’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 2nd at 1:00pm at St. Bernard’s Church, 27 St Bernard St, Saranac Lake. A celebration of life will follow at his summer home.
