    Obituary for Jamie Martin

    Jamie Martin
Jamie Rose Martin passed suddenly, Wednesday, May 10, 2017 with nothing but love for her children and family in her heart. Jamie loved her children Alexis Lynn and Aiden Joseph fiercely and gave her life for them. She valued her family above all. Known as "Auntie Jamie" to Ella Rose, Danica Lynn, and Aleda Marie. She was the eldest daughter of Richard and Diane Martin, sister and mentor to Jennifer (Frank Tice III) and Richard.

Born on January 26, 1984 in Lake City, Florida, Jamie welcomed the world grabbing her ears with excitement. Thirteen days later, Jamie returned to her parents' hometown of Tupper Lake, New York. There, she attended Holy Ghost Academy, moving to L.P. Quinn Elementary School in third grade. At school, Jamie established life-long friendships. Her peers identified her as the girl with a strikingly large and genuine smile. She was a class helper and a hard-working student. Jamie continued her education at Tupper Lake Middle High School where she explored her gifts as an artist, student, and athlete. Jamie took challenging classes, dedicating herself to achievement. Jamie was steadfast in her efforts to make her parents proud and serve as an example for siblings Jennifer and Richard.

After graduating in 2002, Jamie proudly attended the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Jamie's artistic aptitudes continued to grow there and her work was displayed in the Myers Fine Arts Building on campus, leaving passersby to marvel at her creations.

November 13, 2012, brought Jamie the first of two gifts that she treasured with each breath. Alexis Lynn, born in Saranac Lake, New York, greeted her family with her mother's larger-than-life smile. Three years later, on September 29, 2015 Jamie was gifted with joy at the birth of Aiden Joseph. His eyes immediately stole the hearts of those around him, sharing the same delightful sparkle as his mother.

As a mother, Jamie worked diligently to make certain Alexis and Aiden enjoyed every day. Her creative energies poured into caring for and loving her children. Their days were filled with cuddles and kisses. Jamie spent every moment ensuring that they were happy. Day trips, vacations, and birthdays were celebrated with tremendous joy.

Jamie's true calling was to bring joy and help to those with whom she connected. Any person she came in contact with, she touched in some way or another. A saying that comes to mind when one thinks of Jamie is, "Always leave people better than you found them. Hug the hurt. Kiss the broken. Befriend the lost. Love the lonely."

Jamie Rose is survived by her children, Alexis Lynn and Aiden Joseph. She leaves behind her parents, Richard and Diane Martin, along with siblings Jennifer (Frank Tice III) and Richard. Jamie is missed by her special nieces, Ella Rose, Danica Lynn, and Aleda Marie. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Nancy and Ronald Snyder. She leaves behind her treasured partner, Lee McFaul. Jamie was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Edward and Simone Martin, great-grandmother Dolly LaRoque, and cousins Mike Martin and Michael Copp.
