Stafford S. Daniels, 89, of Tupper Lake passed away Tuesday, February14, 2017 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. Born November 14, 1927 in Indian Lake. He was the son of Sidney and Carrie (Giraurd) Daniels. Stafford grew up in Indian Lake and married the former Helen Miller on December 24, 1950. Stafford was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy serving from August 1946 - February 1951. They made their home on Little Wolf Road in Tupper Lake. He was employed most of his life as a care taker on Upper Saranac Lake, retiring in 2015. Stafford enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and wild life. He is survived by his wife Helen, two daughters; Trudy Lanthier and her husband Isidore of Saranac Lake, Pam LeClair and her husband Bruce of Keeseville, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Carol Jacob, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, February 17 from 1 - 3 pm followed by a funeral service at 3pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Name cemetery in May.
