Obituary for James E. "Jim" Miner
Born May 11,1941 to Gordon and Elizabeth (Smith) Miner of Saranac Lake, NY passed away on July 15, 2016 with his children by his side. James served in the United States Army in Vietnam and was later stationed in Hawaii. He retired from the town of Santa Clara where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter and loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Elizabeth Miner, his brother Robert Miner and his beloved wife Roselyn Miner. He is survived by his siblings Jackie Martin of Saranac Lake, Donald Miner of Pennsylvania, Gordon Miner Jr of South Carolina, Colleen Harvey of Saranac Lake, his children J. Michael Coventry of Potsdam,
James D. and Kelly Miner of Lake Placid, Sharron and Larry Root of Tupper Lake, Billi Jo and Ken Symonds of Gabriels, Reese and Kelly Fleury of Tupper Lake, Dennis Sullinger of Queensbury, Peggy Sullinger of Medina, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday July 20, 2016 from 3 -6 pm at the Stuart Fortune Keough Funeral home in Tupper Lake with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ALS Foundation, The Tupper Lake Rescue Squad and VFW in his memory.
