Alfred Moneer Aseel
Alfred Moneer Aseel, 77, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 16th. Alfred served in the US Military, with two tours of duty in the U.S. Army. A graduate of Potsdam State , he taught school in Brasher Falls, the Phillipines and Bahrain before making a career change. Prior to his retirement , Alfred worked for over 25 years with several US Defense Contractors throughout the Middle East, including General Dynamics, Sikorsky Aircraft Corp and McDonnell Douglas. In 1993 he retired to his home in Tupper Lake following a long and successful career with McDonnell Douglas in Saudi Arabia.
Alfred was passionate and dedicated to any pursuit took on. He had a great appreciation for nature and enjoyed many years of hiking, kayaking and gardening. He quickly took on the role as the "go to" advisor for all of his loving nieces and nephews. While in good health he divided his time between his Tupper Lake home and Wurzburg, Germany. There, he and his longtime loving and devoted friend Tillie Little explored and hiked throughout Europe sharing many interests. Those who knew and loved Al, knew that it was his strong will, determination, and independent spirit that allowed him to deal with many serious health issues and live the life he chose to the very end.
Alfred was pre deceased in life by his parents Alfred Abraham and Fadwa (Khechen) Aseel, sister Adele Mikesell, her son Rick Alasal, infant brother John, and great-nephew Matthew Hendry. He leaves behind many treasured friendships, and his loving sisters Alfreda Bradt and husband Charlie, Ellen Maroun and husband Camil, Linda Kahn and her husband Joe, nieces and nephews Camille (Bradt) Marchese, John Bradt, Nadia (Maroun) Barkamian, Gina Maroun, David Maroun, Jacqueline (Kahn) Brooks and Erin (Kahn) Withstandly and their children. Each will forever miss his fun loving spirit, his love, and sage advice that they often tried to escape.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
