Obituary for Angela Roberts
TUPPER LAKE-
Angela Roberts, 27, of Tupper Lake, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at her home. Born April 27, 1988, she was the daughter of Rick and Denise (Villeneuve) Roberts. She leaves behind her brother Kirk, of Florida, Ben and Ciera of Tupper Lake, her special "sister" Londyn Marquis, her step-father Buck North, Grandmother Pat Tarbox, Grandmother Dorothy Roberts, her Bee (Vivian Smith), Rupert her dog and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Growing up Angela was just like any other young girl. She was truly a tom boy at heart, preferring to hunt, fish, camp and be outside. She had a huge caring heart and was always concerned about others. She loved animals and loved to travel. However, in the naivety of her youth, she made some mistakes that ended up costing Angela her life. All of the wonderful blessings that she had, including talent, friendships, a positive outlook on life and most importantly family were sidelined by a wrong decision to do drugs. In life, one little decision can make a huge impact on not just you, but those that love and care for you. Angela had a loving and supportive family and had everything a young girl could want. But doing drugs took a hold of her life, changed her, and destroyed so much of the hope and promise in her future. You may ask why are we sharing this personal part of Angela's life. Hopefully, by making more people aware of Angela's struggle, we can shed some light on this devastating issue and work to fix a very big problem in our community. This was a wonderful life, full of hope and promise that ended far too soon. If her story can help one person's life, and save one family from losing a loved one far too young, than sharing this tragedy will add meaning to a life cut far too short. While we are sad to see her go, we are relieved that her struggle is over and she is at peace. Family will receive friends from 5 -7 pm, Thursday, October 15th. at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake. Those wishing to make memorial donations are asked to consider the Tri Lakes Humane Society or the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad. Online condolences may be made at www.stuartfortunekeoughfuneralhome.com.
