Denis J. Neenan passed away peacefully on August 29, 2015 at his home in Long Lake, New York. Denis is survived by his wife, Sally Soper Neenan, brother Michael, sister in law Beth and niece and god daughter Courtney and many close friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Denis Joseph Neenan and Adele Kenny Neenan and a brother Kevin. Raised in Bergenfield, New Jersey, Denis spent summers in Long Lake, NY with his grandparents Ann and Albert Carey. Denis was a Marine during the Viet Nam conflict serving as a legal attachment. He was a graduate of Fordham Law School, Fairfield University and of Regis High school in New York, NY. Denis was a New York State Licensed Guide. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he worked in Tupper Lake, NY. He is also remembered by the many patrons he knew working in the restaurant field in New Jersey and the Adirondacks for thirty-five years. An avid sportsman, Denis was a member of the Kempshall Club for twenty-three years. He was a board member for fifteen years, vice president for two years and land property manager for many of those years. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
