Obituary for Allen J. ""A.J."" Trombley Jr.

    Allen J. ""A.J."" Trombley Jr.
Allen Joseph Trombley Jr. (AJ – our ‘Bummy’), the loving son of Allen J. Trombley Sr. and Elizabeth (O'Connor) Trombley of this Town, passed away Wednesday April 29th at his home in Tupper Lake. Allen was born on September 19, 1972 in Glens Falls, NY. He attained the rank of Life in Boy Scouts, attended Shenendehowa High School and Hudson Valley Community College.
For many years Allen taught computer software skills in Tallahassee, Florida. Allen was skilled in hardware/software and network selection, computer set up and troubleshooting, and small engine repair. He was always fixing his family, friends and neighbors computers, computer networks, lawnmowers and snowblowers.
AJ loved his family and friends so much, if you were his friend you were a friend forever. There was nothing he wouldn't do for those he loved. He was also an avid baseball (Yankee), football (Giants) and hockey fan. He always looked forward to the annual trip to Yankee Stadium with his family.
AJ loved all types of music. He grew up listening to 50s and 60s oldies and knew the words to almost all songs from that era. He was the disc jockey at a recent family reunion playing selections from his vast array of music that he had accumulated over the years. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping, snowmobiling, playing computer games and traveling. Every July 4th AJ had a ball putting on a fireworks show from the front of his home on Little Wolf for everyone to enjoy. He loved his pets Sassy (his Doberman), and many cats including Cheeva, Boots, Hombre, Shadow and Amigo. AJ recently took a trip with his Mom to adopt two Siamese rescue cats which he named Boyd and Bum.
Allen (AJ) is survived by his parents and his maternal Aunts Kathleen (Peter) Cassidy, Gulfport, FL, Linda (David) Reynolds, Cape Canaveral, FL, Kathleen Stark, Stillwater, NY, and maternal Uncle Michael J. O’Connor of Cocoa Beach, FL. He is also survived by his cousins that he grew up with: Angela Reynolds, W. Michael Stark III, Valarie Stark and Kathleen Fronhofer; his life-long friend who he called his ‘brother’ Thomas Vrooman; and his special friend Donna (Dee Dee) McNaught.
With AJ’s passing his family and friends are so very sad. Please take that extra minute to give your loved ones a hug and a kiss – you may never get another chance.
There will be no calling hours.
For those who wish to make a memorial donation the family suggests: Siamese Cat Rescue Center, 366 Meander Run Road, Locust Dale, VA 22948.
