Margaret (LaPointe) Robillard passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at her home.
Margaret was born on November 9, 1929 to Romeo LaPointe and Leah (Lavigne) Lefebrve
In Tupper Lake, NY
She attended Tupper Lake High School.
On June 23, 1947 she married Leo P. Robillard at St. Alphonsus Church where Rev. Monsignor Hervieux blessed the ceremony.
Margaret was a stay at home Mother until 1960 when she became employed at the Altamont Dairy Bar,working there for 14 years. This was her most enjoyable job she ever had, she loved the teenagers and became their “Dear Abby”.
She then was employed at Shaheen’s Super Market for 12 years, working in the meat department. Her final job was at LP Quinn Elementary school in the cafeteria, after that retiring.
She took pride in being a Mother, but the love of her life was her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She was also known for the Sunday afternoon “tea parties” when her sister, nieces and friends would gather for a visit.
Margaret was pre-deceased by her husband, Mother, Father, two brothers,Gerald and Roger LaPointe, and a sister, Shirley Jean LaPointe .
She is survived by three children, Cheryl (Robillard) Arsenault and her husband Thomas, Mitchell and his wife Connie, Timothy and his wife Wanda.
Four grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Arsenault and Tara Arsenault (Michael Baumgardner), Christie (Robillard) (Michael) Lavigne and Mark (Darcy) Robillard.
Eight great-grandchildren, Emma, Luke, & Lyla Robillard, Brenden & Genevieve Arsenault, Benjamin and Brady Lavigne and Leo Baumgardner.
She is also survived by three sisters, Dorothy Fuller and husband Jack, Gloria (Dolly) Garrelts , and Theresa (Tootsie) and her husband Richard. One brother, Dean Lefebrve and his wife Kathleen. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Maragaret was a communicant of Holy Name of Jesus Church and St. Alphonsus Church.
Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday, February 5th from 4 to 7 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1pm at St Alphonsus church. Burial will be in Holy Name cemetery in May.
