Yvonne Vaillancourt, 86 of Tupper Lake, died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Mercy Health Care Center.
Born December 16, 1927, in Stanhope, Quebec, she was the daughter of Jean and Amanda Morin. The family moved to Raquette Lake in 1954 and then settled in Tupper Lake in 1956.
On June 22, 1946, she and her late husband Roland were married in Stanhope, Quebec.
Mrs. Vaillancourt worked at the Tupper Lake Veneer Corporation for many years then after retirement worked as a home health aide. She retired to Deerfield Beach Florida and Tupper Lake in 1988.
She enjoyed quilting and sewing as hobbies.
She is survived by Yvon and Betty Vaillancourt of Grand Isle, FL, Jean V of Grand Isle, FL, Gilles and his wife Carmen of Tupper Lake, Francine and Kevin McLear of Tupper lake, Ghislaine Striney of Grand Isle, FL, Mark and Cathy Vaillancourt of Tupper Lake, Linda and Mark Yaworski of Tupper Lake, Penny and Matt Paiement of Youngsville, NC, Nancy and John Merrihew of Tupper Lake, and Thomas and Tina Vaillancourt of Hudson Falls, NY, as well as twenty-two grandchildren, Tammy, Nicole, Patrick, Ian , Shawn, Erin, Chirsty, Kam, Scott V, Crystal, Rebecca, Cara, Paul, Eric, Alyssa, Joseph, Steven, William, Amanda, Vanessa, Sarah, and Scott P.
She is also survived by twenty-four great grandchildren- Skyler, Brooke, Taylor, Nickolas, Austin, Broyce, Malorie, Jennifer, Miranda, Chase, Tai, Wyatt, Bradley, Ashley, Gavin, Paige, Angelina, Emma, Javica, Johnny, Tyler, Thomas, Arianna, and Sawyer.
She was predeceased by seven siblings, her husband, Roland Vaillcourt, and Adam Vaillcourt.
Her family has chosen to have a service and funeral in the summer at their convenience.
