Elizabeth was a very devout Catholic, even watching masses on television when she was no longer able to attend. She taught her children, grand children, and even great grandchildren the importance of prayer, and
a deep connection to the lord. She was an avid golfer, and bowler in her younger years, and was always ready for a game of yahtzee, because she would always win... no matter what. She was also very swift when it came to cards,
though the rules seemed to change periodically to suit her needs. That was the beauty of our Memere, our Mom, our Aunt BettyAnne, our sister, and our friend. She was sharp until her last moments, and will live on through
great memories for years to come.
There will be no calling hours for Elizabeth, as that was against her wishes, however, a funeral mass is tentatively scheduled for October 1st, 2013 at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake at 2p.m. A reception will follow at the VFW hall.
In Lieux of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Alphonsus Parish, and to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.stuartfortunekeoughfuneralhome.com.
