TUPPER LAKE- Robert C. Earle, 85, of Tupper Lake, passed away, Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. Born on August 8, 1925 in Malone, he was the son of Earlie and Lila (Livernois) Earle. Robert attended local schools and was a graduate of Tupper High. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS Norman Scott in the Pacific from 1943 to 1945. He was honorably discharged in 1946. On May 1st, 1949 he married the former Joyce Brown and have two children, Susan Britton of Parishville and MaryAnn Fries of Burnt Hills and four grandchildren. Mr. Earle was employed by the Village of Tupper Lake working as a electrician retiring in 1985. He also worked part-time as electrician for Sunmount DDSO and Mercy Healthcare Center. Mr. Earle was a member of the Tupper Lake Fire Dept for 30 years. Also volunteered on the Ski Patrol, Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels. He was a member of the Tupper Lake Country Club and also enjoyed hunting belonging to various clubs. There will be no calling hours, the family will receive friends on Friday, December 10th. from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad, Fire Dept. or High Peaks Hospice.
